Although we have had Glastonbury, Download and several of the major festivals there are still plenty to come. Check out the Festival Calendar to see what is coming up to suit your taste – literally, as the popularity of food festivals increases too. Of course we think you should wear Festival Onesie as the lightweight cotton will keep you warm at night and cool during the day. For those wondering what else to take BT.com asks a camping expert for 13 festival essentials you won’t be able to live without this summer. As well as the obvious sleeping bag, tent and wellies etc., these include earplugs and a spare toilet roll – always useful.
Meanwhile the Debrief website looks back at Glastonbury and how Cressida Bonas gave a masterclass in how to pack for a Festival. Apparently Cressida nailed the concept of packing light and managed the whole weekend and several different outfit changes with fewer than 10 pieces (no mean feat. I mean, you need options, right? Think of the unpredictable weather). The key is to mix and match. On Saturday Cressida let her legs out to the elements in a teeny tiny Koro Kimono co-ords set for a summer-ready look. She teamed the rather sweet shorts and cropped shell top ensemble with a backwards cap and shades for an edgier take on the pretty co-ords. FYI, the Koro Kimono pattern – a mash up of stripes, orange spots and birds – is so of the moment. This Koro Kimono Tempest pattern gained another outing in trouser form for the last day of Glastonbury. Looking super comfy and stylish – and leaving her fashion disciples asking how the bloody hell she does it – Cressida teams the baggy trousers with a black beanie (for the festival hair hideaway), black utility boots and a black jacket plus hoodie. In conclusion, the Koro Kimono co-ords went the distance at Worthy Farm, teaching us all a lesson in clever packing. The fewer clothes, the more room for make-up/tinnies/other festival essentials.
Now of course you are all thinking when is silly Cressida going to realise that all she really needs is to wear Festival Onesie from Funzee. Then she can pack lighter and won’t have to worry about the co-ords.
