News this week of even more choice of onesies as Macdonalds launch a clothing line. The range includes an adult-size Big Mac Onesie which can even be delivered to your door step free of charge. We think they missed a trick by not offering packaging in the shape pf a bap because then they could call it the onesie in a bunsie. As you can see from our pic you can also buy a French fry themed hoodie, tracksuit bottoms, sandals, a hamburger pillow and a picnic blanket adorned with items from the Mac menu. The McDelivery Collection is described as “a selection of fun, fashion forward items you can wear or use whenever and wherever you order.” Earlier this year, celebrities were spotted in the USA attending a pyjama party organised by Jessica Alba in KFC onesies. These were produced by US novelty clothes retailer Swanks which offer a fun range including “Pizza Slut” hoodies. These fast food choice of onesies come hot on the heels of the new Romphim, a onesie with short legs and arms which seems to be taking itself far too seriously, and recently raised money from a crowdfunding campaign. Their site claims that Romphim is the world’s favourite male romper, “Is it a romper specifically designed for men? Sure, but it’s also so much more… This super-garment is designed to take them all on in style, keeping you cool as the days and nights heat up.” The Evening Standard had one of its reporters road test the romper. After wearing it about town, in Cornwall and at a Shoreditch festival, his conclusion, “If Twitter is representative, men just aren’t given the chance to explore their masculinity constructively, which is constricting. Not as constricting as that romper, possibly, which was quite a squeeze.” It’s great to see more and more choice of onesies around. When we started 9 years ago we had to explain what an adult onesie was and most people thought we were mad. But despite this product innovation we’ll be sticking to a more traditional choice of onesies.
