It’s been a lively week for pyjama stories

Pyjama Stories include Chris Evans

A week full of pyjama stories in the press. The Daily Mirror brought us the results of a poll from snack brand “Fibre One” which asked 2000 people what made them feel guilty. Apparently we feel guilty on average 4.75 times each week, but there is a big gender guilt gap as women spend over twice as much time, 62 minutes, feeling guilty each week compared to men, just 30 minutes. Three quarters of those questioned said they felt guilty every day over something they have or haven’t done, from hiring a cleaner to staying in their pyjamas all weekend. If you want to stay in onesie pyjamas all week-end guilt free try our new patriotic Red, White n Blue funzee in warm, cosy fleece.

Meanwhile the Daily Star noted the increasing obesity epidemic in jails across England and Wales. Following a Freedom of Information Act request we now know that Grendon prison in Aylesbury, Bucks, has the highest number of obese prisoners in England. It ordered 388 supersized items of clothing for convicts between 2012 and 2015. And two pairs of whopping 9XL pyjama bottoms, to fit a prisoner weighing in at over 30st, were ordered for an inmate at Woodhill jail in Milton Keynes, Bucks. 9XL pyjama bottoms must be big enough to fit a football team in – must contact the Guinness Book of World Records.

Any more important pyjama stories? Nigella Lawson, who is always prefixed by the words Domestic Goddess, was in Australia promoting her latest book and has revealed, “I won’t have people for supper now unless I would be comfortable with them when I’m wearing no makeup and I’m in my pyjamas.” Who wouldn’t want to go to a pyjama party with Nigella?

The last of our pyjama stories saw Chris Evans photographed leaving the BBC in what appeared to be his pyjamas. Chris is recording Top Gear and again the Daily Mirror reported that Chris couldn’t cope with one of the recent test drives. Chris will be one of the new incoming presenters following “steakgate” which resulted in Jeremy Clarkson and the rest of the team leaving the show and moving to Amazon Prime for several millions. Chris is shown throwing up after going for a spin in an Audi R8 V10 with co-star and driver Sabine Schmitz.
